was formed in October 2012 with six Spring Ridge Elementary School Kindergartners. As all girls are animal lovers we completed our first journey, "Three Cheers for Animals" during fall of our first grade year. In September of 2013 we welcomed three new friends and completed our second journey "Between Earth and Sky." We completed both our first hike and camping trip during Spring of 2014, learning new skills and songs.
In the fall of 2014, one friend moved away and four new scouts joined our Troop. With our Brownie Smiles in place we continued our journeys and learned new skills as we continued along the path of girl scouting. We completed many badges and added more scouts along the way. We are now 18 strong!
Hooray! In the spring of 2016 we bridged to Juniors!!! Troop 81671 is now a Junior Troop but the fun hasn't stopped and we are continuing to make new friends while we keep the old. We look forward to this exciting year as we work on troop management and leadership as well as honing our skills, completing badges, journeys and our bronze award, the highest honor a Girl Scout Junior can achieve while helping the community.
We all look forward to many more years of fun. We are part of Oak Ridge Crossing 37-7 Service Unit and would love to make friends with other troops in our area.
